What's new
Changes in the latest build.
- NewJlerts has its own home at jlerts.com, and anyone can use it: no access key needed any more
- NewImport any .zip as it is: pre-made widgets (Slime, Pumpkin, Christmas chat…), exports and themes; files that run programs (.exe, .dll…) are never imported
- NewAdd to scene finds Aitum Vertical's vertical scenes (and other OBS canvases)
- NewThe update button fills like a progress bar while an update downloads
- ChangedStreamlabs log-in uses the new Jlerts Streamlabs app (log in again once)
- ChangedAdd to scene → Other software shows the size to set the source to
- FixedTicker bar: Space between messages works, speed changes apply at once, and the designer preview never runs dry; slim ticker bars down to 16 px
- NewKokoro voices: natural-sounding voices that run on your PC, offline (American and British English); an optional download in Settings → Text-to-speech, then pick them in any voice menu
- NewWidgets and chat boxes can show on every overlay (Show on every overlay); saving changes asks whether they go to all overlays or only this one, which gets its own (Edited) copy (Edit globally, with Don't ask again per widget or chat box)
- NewChat TTS on / off button next to Skip TTS
- NewAdd to scene → Other software: the link and link options (no sound, refresh when the scene goes live, pause while hidden) for streaming apps like Meld Studio, Twitch Studio and vMix
- ChangedAlerts hide anything outside their box, as the builder shows (untick it per alert to let things stick out)
- ChangedText-to-speech settings: voice lists fold up, and Add Windows voices sits with the Windows voices
- FixedVideo previews in the side bar sometimes showing nothing
- FixedWords never read aloud now apply to read chat aloud too
- NewThe app is now called Jlerts, with a new logo and icon (your alerts, settings and logins are untouched)
- NewAdd to scene works with Streamlabs Desktop and XSplit (through the Jlerts extension in XSplit) as well as OBS
- NewSplit chat is one tall chat cut into slices: messages run on from one slice to the next; click, move, size and turn each slice on the canvas, and Bend corners to fit a frame
- ChangedChat boxes get bigger or smaller when you drag their corners (Chat width and height set where lines wrap), and Make room grows the canvas around the chat up to a size you choose
- ChangedNew overlay profiles start at 1920x1080
- ChangedWording says "your streaming app" instead of OBS wherever any streaming app works
- NewMusic widgets (Now playing, Album art) can have a background (dark, black, glass, gradients or your own colour) and a font choice
- ChangedAny extra overlay profile can be deleted from its row in the profile menu (🗑)
- ChangedCustomise Overlay: help behind "How does it work?", and themes fold down to one line
- NewEach overlay profile has its own alerts, widgets, goals, chat boxes and triggers; editing one never changes another profile ("Send a copy to another overlay…" on the right-click menu; new profiles can copy everything)
- NewCustomise Overlay: text, scrolling text, pictures, GIFs and videos that stay on your overlay; drop pictures from your desktop; save and import themes (.zip)
- NewMusic widgets can pop up for a few seconds when a song starts or resumes, then hide (pop, fade or slide)
- ChangedScrolling text moves at a steady speed whatever its length, in either direction
- FixedNo white box around imported custom widgets in the app's preview
- FixedA file dropped on the app window by mistake no longer replaces the app
- NewCustom widgets size themselves: a widget can bring its own name and size, dragging its box on the canvas gives it more room (it stays sharp), and OBS sources follow its size
- FixedCustom widgets showing without their title or numbers in OBS
- NewSetup wizard for new users: a themed set of alerts, a chat box and safe chat, ready for OBS in a few clicks
- NewChat message designer (each message as a card you lay out), looks by role (mods, VIPs, subs), your own sub badges, slide in from any side, and split chat across several areas
- NewHeart rate looks to pick from (simple heart, heart monitor, pixel platformer game), Realistic and Gross dying heart sets, your own zone limits, and a Test with a pretend heart rate
- NewChroma key works like OBS's (same numbers, with spill reduction), plus colour correction for pictures and videos
- NewProgress bars can fill like a liquid or slime
- NewEvery alert linked to the same event plays, all together (e.g. Raid and Raid 2)
- NewTTS mascots can be your own web page, and each has its own voice, speed and pitch; Read aloud has pitch too
- NewRead chat aloud: give particular viewers their own voice from a list
- ChangedDownload all voices asks Windows for permission once instead of for every language
- ChangedWidgets and chats rest when nobody can see them (less CPU)
- FixedAlerts showing higher than placed on OBS when something (like a mascot) hangs off the edge of the screen
- FixedChroma key not showing in the builder after ticking it
- FixedA TTS mascot set to redeems only no longer pops up when you try an alert's read-aloud
